WSB Blasting Ltd is a family run business specialising in shot blasting, heat treatment, paint spraying and section blast cleaning. The company was established in 1947 by Horace Richards on Planetary Road, Willenhall, where it still stands today.

In 1960, we introduced a blast cleaning room followed by an oil fired furnace in 1965 to carry out stress relieving on the metal fabrications that were shot blasted. In 1980, we made an investment of £60,000 in an electric furnace, which due to careful maintenance, is still in use today. Over the years, we also carried out expansion of the current site by introducing painting and installing cranage to manoeuvre fabrications of 20 tonnes.

We also introduced a few other machines and equipment to grow our business, including the section cleaning machine for the processing of pipes and plates and the blast cabinet for the manual blasting of smaller items.

We realised that there were only a few reliable, quality companies available to shot blast smaller components, so we expanded our company again in 2003 by introducing three tumblast machines for shot blasting.

We take pride in delivering a quality service at a competitive rate within the agreed time frame. We welcome customers from far afield as Poland and Egypt, and have a large amount of work that comes through references and recommendations.
